Lester R. Bruss, 61, of 1515 S. 25th St., Manitowoc, died early Friday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Glenn Unke will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Mr. Bruss was born June 29, 1907, at Brillion, son of the late John and Caroline Schamburg Bruss. He married Frieda Widerholdt Oct. 26, 1932, at Newtonburg.
He was employed for 22 years at Mirro Aluminum Co., Manitowoc. Mr. Bruss was past president and a member of the Men's Club of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, a member of the Manitowoc civil defense unit and Steel Workers Local 1599.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Herman of Wilmington, Calif., and Rudie of Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Geraldine) Franz of Newhall, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Grove Croll of Manitowoc and three grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until noon Monday and then at the church until time of service.
