Mangold, Sr. Agatha (July 5, 1871-Feb. 5, 1955 –single –daughter of George Mangold and Magdalena Hofrichter –born Wachenroth, Bavaria, Germany – “joined the order in Rome in 1892. Her first assignment was in India. In – she came to St. Nazianz, serving as a nurse in that area and in 1906? Was named supervisor of the convent. In 1913 she was transferred to Milwaukee, returning in 1918 and in 1926 was again named supervisor. She was transferred to Milwaukee and Columbus, Wis., and served as superior at St. Nazianz from 1929? to 19- when she was transferred to an old folks’ home at Portage, Wis. She returned to St. Nazianz in 19- and in 1943 observed her golden jubilee…” –from obit in Herald Times Reporter –in the 1900 census for the Town of Eaton, Sr. Agatha is shown as a Salvatorian Sister living at the St. Mary Convent in St. Nazianz –died from “myocardial failure –cardio renal disease –circulatory failure”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 2, Row 11, Lot 25 –stone] [death record Manitowoc 48-293]
