Morris, Agnes E. nee Sukowaty (Aug. 27, 1895-Dec. 16, 1965 –married three times –husbands are, in order, Wilber Hall Westlake [married May 12, 1916 in Indiana, Pennsylvania –Wilber was born Sept. 16, 1882 in Albany, New York to John and Ida Westlake], Mr. Schmitt and Mr. Morris –the first marriage was in California and the last two likely in Oregon –daughter of Joseph Sukowaty and Agnes Hammela –born Town of Eaton –“When Agnes lived in California, she worked for the Barnum and Bailey Circus. She was Princess Naldu, a snake charmer. Her husband at that time was a barker [he sold tickets for the sideshows featuring, J. G. Tarver, the tallest man and Princess Wee-Wee, the littlest person]. She traveled over nearly the entire United States. In the summer months, she was in the northern states and in the winter months, the south. Agnes later lived in the state of Oregon. Her third husband, Mr. Morris, died in 1960. Around 1964, she came back to Wisconsin. She showed up at the farm where she had grown up, with a U-Haul truck. She stayed there with Ambrose and Sally Sukowaty for six months. She wanted to put up a trailer home on the farm but Ambrose had no room. She then lived near Roshnell, WI. She lived there six months until her death. She died of a heart attack.” –from the Sukowaty Genealogy written by Bonnie M. Sukowaty McAllister –died from “hypertensive heart disease, coronary thrombosis”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 1, Row 4, Lot 14 –stone –although Agnes has a stone on this lot, it seems Victoria Leichtnam is buried in this location –perhaps Agnes is buried in the lot with her grandmother Eva Sukowaty in Section 1, Row 4, Lot 10] [death record Manitowoc 61-489]
