He is survived by his wife, the former Martha Elizabeth Murrell; two sons, E.E. Bucker of Shreveport, and Rev. John W. Buckner of Crossett, Ark.; three daughters, Gertrude Buckner Leatherman of Pineville and Augusta Buckner Berry and Omera Buckner Hathorn of Rt. 2, Alexandria; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Buckner was a member of Solomon Lodge No. 221, F&AM; of the H.C. and M.E. Duncan chapter, No. 161, Order of Eastern Star, Pineville and of Riverview Baptist Church.
