J.D. Terrell, 96, of Tuscumbia, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at his residence after an extended illness.
He was retired from Reynolds Alloys after 46 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Chaplain Ralton McCarley officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Terrell; son, Jimmy Linley Sr.; and grandson, Donald Gene Linley.

He is survived by his son, Don Hugh Linley Sr. and wife, Sandra; daughter, Beverly Dale Archer; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Linley, Kevin Linley, Zach Linley, Terry Archer, Austin Archer and Bobby Archer.
The family expresses special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, Alabama Healthcare, the private sitters and especially Jeff Owens and Cindy Nelson for all of their loving care.
