Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Convent Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Julian Resch O.F.M., with burial to follow at Holy Family Convent Cemetery.
Sister Konz, nee Serena Konz, was born January 29, 1908, at St. Ann, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Meyer Konz. Sister Konz entered the convent on June 18, 1921, professing her vows on August 15, 1926. She received her bachelor of science degree in Major Elementary Education at St. Norbert College. She taught school at St. Boniface and St. Andrew Parochial School, Manitowoc and also at Reedsville, Marinette, Cooperstown, Mackville, Chilton, Maple Grove, Appleton, Clintonville, Hollandtown, West DePere and Hilbert, all in Wisconsin and also at Marquette, Michigan. She retired to Holy Family Convent seven years ago and has resided at Ozanam Home, New Berlin, since 1980.
Survivors include Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity and a sister, Mrs. Adeline Konz of Sheboygan.
Friends may call at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening. A prayer service will be held at the convent chapel Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of arrangements.
