Sherwood – Edward Koutnick of here received word Saturday morning of the death of his sister, Sister Mary Louise, 64, which occurred at 3 a.m. at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Rose Koutnick, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Koutnick, Kaukauna, was born Feb. 15, 1881 in Bohemia. She came to this country with her family in 1883, and attended St. Mary's school at Kaukauna before entering the Franciscan convent at Silver Lake in 1901. She was supervisor for a number of years at the Guardian Angel boarding school at Oneida.

Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Koutnick, 91, Kaukauna; two brothers, Rev. Wm. Koutnick, pastor of St. Mary's Church, Reedsville, and Edward of Sherwood; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Heinen, Mrs. Elizabeth Parman, Kaukauna and Mrs. Mathilda Borland, Detroit, Mich.

Funeral services were held Monday at the convent chapel with the Rev. Wm. Koutnick as celebrant of the requiem high Mass. Burial took place in the convent cemetery. About 50 clergy and 300 nuns attended the services.
