Leonard E. Larson 82, of Route 1, Valders, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon in Holy Family hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Carl Peters will officiate and burial will be in Gjerpen Cemetery, Route 1, Manitowoc.

Mr. Larson was born Sept. 15, 1896, in the Town of Cato, Manitowoc County, son of the late John K. and Ragnild Thondson Larson.

He married Ethel J. Torrison Aug. 17, 1921, in West Valders Church.

Mr. Larson owned and operated a farm on Route 1, Manitowoc.

He was a veteran serving with the United States Army, a member of American Legion Thompson-Burkard Post of Valders and Citizens of Manitowoc.

Mrs. Larson preceded him in death April 26, 1958.

Survivors include a son, Ellsworth of Route 1, Manitowoc; four daughters and sons-in-law, Bernice Ann and Ralph Rydzewski of Valders, Dolores and Leonard Pfeffer and Betty Lou and Allan Erickson of Manitowoc and Elline and Carl Brick of Livoina, Mich.; a brother Kenneth Larson of Route 1, Cato, a sister Mrs. Esther Wagner of Manitowoc, 13 grand-children, three great grandchildren and a very special friend, Martha Toston of Manitowoc.

Two sisters, Alice and Ruth, preceded him in death.

Friends may call in Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday until 11:30 a.m. Friday and in the church from noon until the time of service.
