Mr. Norman Hamilton Bayne, age 74, of Lexington, Indiana, formerly of Rising Sun, Indiana, entered this life on Thursday, July 26, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late Norman Dale and Vera Mae Hamilton Bayne. He was raised in Rising Sun and was a graduate of the Rising Sun High School. He was united in marriage in May of 1956 to Shirley Colen. To their union came a son and a daughter to bless their home. He moved to Jefferson County, Indiana in October 1956 to begin a life-long career with the Indiana-Kentucky Electric Company at the Clifty Creek Plant, retiring from the laboratory. He was a member of the Rising Sun Church of Christ and enjoyed classic cars and drag racing. He was an avid fan of University of Kentucky Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds. Mr. Bayne passed away, Saturday, October 13, 2012 at his residence in near Lexington, Indiana.

Mr. Bayne is survived by his loving son: Norman Kirk Bayne of Walton, Kentucky; his loving daughter: Kelli Sue Bayne Vest and her husband, John of Rising Sun, Indiana; his loving companion and caregiver of 20 years: Charlotte Watterson of Lexington, Indiana; his loving grandsons: Andrew Bayne and his wife Darci of Aurora, Indiana; and Jeremy Vest of Rising Sun, Indiana; his loving brothers: Michael Bayne and his wife, Louise of Eminence, Kentucky and Patrick Bayne and his wife, Linda of Burlington, Kentucky and 3 nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: late Norman Dale and Vera Mae Hamilton Bayne and his grandson: Justin Nathanial Vest who passed away July 4, 2012.

You may pay your respects to the Bayne family on Tuesday, October 16, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, Indiana; Wednesday, October 17, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at the Markland Funeral Home, 327 North High Street, Rising Sun, Indiana; Thursday, October 18, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Markland Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Markland Funeral Home, 327 North High Street, Rising Sun, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hedge Cemetery in Rising Sun, Indiana.
