Rehme, Stephen J. (Sept. 26, 1912-May 31, 1996 –husband of Almyra Christel [married Nov. 28, 1934 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton] –son of Edward Rehme and Anna Radder –veteran from the World War II era –machine builder at Tecumseh Products –on Oct. 27, 1948 purchased the vacant lot at 314 West Main Street in St. Nazianz and had a house built –lived here until selling on Dec. 2, 1955 –on Jan. 1, 1955 purchased from his widowed father-in-law Joseph Christel the 40 acre farm at 18832 County C in Section 23, Town of Eaton –this was the farm on which Almyra was reared –retired from this farm in 1994 and moved back to St. Nazianz –on Jan. 22, 1996 sold the 40 acre farm at 18832 County C to Daniel Kleinhans –on March 15, 1994 purchased the house at 104 North First Avenue in St. Nazianz –lived here until his death in 1996 –Almyra owned this house until her death on Jan. 27, 2013 –from Jan. 30, 1953 to Nov. 15, 1994 owned 10 acres of recreational swampland in the E1/2 of the NE1/4 of Section 29, Town of Eaton –from Jan. 1955 to Sept. 28, 1994 owned 14 acres of swampland in the N1/2 of the SW1/4 of the SE1/4 of Section 20, Town of Eaton –died from “cancer of the lungs”) –buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 5, Row 9, Lot 19] [marriage record Manitowoc 25-372] [death record Manitowoc 101-541]
