Mrs. Sukowaty, nee Agnes Hamerla, was born in 1866 in Germany and at the age of 15 years came to this county. She was married in 1884 to Mr. Sukowaty and they located on a farm in Eaton. The husband died in 1921.
Survivors are three sons, George of Cleveland, this county, Ambrose, now operating the homestead, farm in Eaton, and Erhard of Sheboygan; six daughters, Mrs. Frank Wagner of St. Nazianz, Mra. Tillie Fritzen of Grand Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Lawrence Woelfel, of Charlestown; Mrs. Agnes Smith of Harbor, Oregon, Mrs. Herman Beil, of route 1, Kiel, Mrs. James Brothers of Eaton; a sister, Mrs. John Valadick, of Wausau; step-brother, Frank Scholtz, of Wausau; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A son, Edward was killed in action in France in World War I.
Mrs. Sukowaty was a member of the Christian Mothers and a gold star mother of the Legion auxiliary of Valders.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from St. Gregory's Catholic church in St. Nazianz with interment in the church cemetery.The body is at the Kellenbenz funeral home in St. Nazianz, where the rosary will be recited Friday evening at eight o'clock.
