George German and Miss Nettie Tidrick were quietly married Wednesday evening at the home of the bride's parents, near Sherrodsville, by Rev. McGrath, of Dellroy. Mr. German is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Josh German, of Rose Township, and is well known in Sherrodsville where he has been assisting his brother, Daniel German, in the meat business. Miss Tidrick is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bent Tidrick, of Monroe Township, and is a very popular and accomplished young lady who has a large circle of friends. The Republican-Standard joins the many friends in extending best wishes.
In the 1900 census George was living in Sherrodsville, Carroll County, Ohio. He was listed as age 29 born November 1870 in Ohio, his wife Nettie age 23 born May 1877 in Ohio, their daughter; Mary H. age 3 months born March 1900.

A large barn on the farm of George German, three quarters of a mile north of Dellroy, was completely destroyed Monday night by a fire of undetermined origin. The flames were first noticed at 11 o'clock by Mrs. Harvey McCartney, a neighbor, and were spreading over the south end of the structure. Bucket brigades were organized but little could be accomplished. Quantities of hay, straw, wheat and oats were lost, as well as several pieces of farm machinery. Mr. German's loss was partly covered by insurance.
