TRINITY – Services for Francis Foster England, 83, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at Waller-Thornton Funeral Home of Trinity with the Rev. John Valenta officiating.
Burial followed in the Brookside Cemetery in Houston.
Mr. England died Thursday, Jan. 8, in Crockett.
He was born July 3, 1925, in Culbertson, Neb., and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after more than 35 years of service and moved to Trinity in 1990. He was a member of the Glendale Baptist Church.
Mr. England was preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Amelia England; a daughter, Linda England; a step-daughter, Shelia McFadden; and a brother, Bert England.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Joyce Bailey England; a daughter and her spouse, Bonnie and Allen McGwire; a step-son and his spouse, Roger and Nellie Bailey; a sister, Lena Hubbard; two grandchildren, Theresa and Micha McGwire; seven step-grandchildren and a spouse, Kimberly and Mark Golden, Ronnie Bailey, Randy Bailey, Dylan Golden, Mason Golden, Madison Golden and Austin Golden; three step-great-grandchildren, Ronnie Jr., Ryan and Taylor Bailey; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Waller-Thornton Funeral Home of Trinity directed the arrangements.
