The death of Mrs. Anna (Sittle) Aller, a highly esteemed resident of this village, occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harrington H. Yule, on Eagle street, Monday afternoon. She had been in ill health since last April and on Friday suffered a shock which hastened the end. Mrs. Aller was born August 9, 1867, in the town of Middlefield the daughter of William and Almira (Buell) Sittle. On March 30, 1887, she was united in marriage with James Aller. The ceremony was performed in the First Baptist church here by the Rev. Brewer Boardman, a former pastor of the church. Mr. and Mrs. Aller celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary last March at a family party arranged by their two daughters, Mrs. Yule and Mrs. G. Reed Sill, also of this village. Mr. Aller passed away on September 20th and since October 13th, Mrs. Aller had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Yule. She is survived, besides the two daughters, above mentioned, by four grandchildren, John Aller Sill, G. Reed Sill, Jr., James H. Yule and Miss L. Eileen Yule; two sisters, Mrs. W. B. Acker of Oneonta and Mrs. George Aspinwall of Westville and several nieces and nephews.
