Dr. Charles Herbert Sears was the son of Cordelia Mae Haywood and Charles Clinton Sears of Michigan. He grew up on the family farm and attended the University of Michigan. He became a Cardiologist and went off to WWII and was honorably discharged after working on the front lines attending to the injured. He traveled to Southern California. He and his first wife, Pauline, had a daughter named Rosemary. Their divorce was finalized on July 8, 1959. He then married Florence Ione Maass who came to the marriage with a daughter, Stephanie Maass. Charles and Florence had five children together. Carol, Janice, Sheila, Baby, and Cathy. Baby Sears lived only a few hours after birth and is also buried in this cemetery. He went on to live in Orange for the remainder of his life.
