Frances was born July 25, 1909, at Marshall, IL, the daughter of Harry Edward Ferris and Elizabeth Coldren Ferris. She married Paul H. Baker on March 12, 1932 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 1994
Surviving are three daughters, Phyllis (Tim) Risner, Sharon (Charles) Smith, Judy (Lowell) Rice, and son John (Susan) Baker of Roanoke, VA.; grandchildren, Teresa (Larry)Hughes, Thomas (Karen) Andrews, Tracy (Eric) Beck, Craig (Donna) Rice, Ann Andrews, Tobey Rice, Kurt Smith, Jack Baker and Warren Baker,;great grandchildren Michelle Rice, Tom Rice, Kristen Beck and Bryan Andrews;a sister-in-law, Lois Baker and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Craig and three brothers, Russell Ferris, Louis Ferris and Paul Ferris.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Marshall.
Frances spent most of her life in Marshall, IL, except for the ten years she and her husband spent in Spain, Germany, Brazil and Venezuela.
Funeral services will be conducted at l0:00 a.m. on July 19, 2000 at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Bro. Jeff Noel officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday and 7:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
