Robert Spence was born Oct. 28 , 1971 . His parents were Robert J. Allen Lo Bianco and his wife Nancy . His paternal grandparents were Joe Merle Allen and Sue Butler Allen . After his parents divorced Robert Spence and his siblings lived for a time with his mother and then later with his step grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bennett Holland of Eva , Tennessee . He attended Memphis State University in Memphis , Tennessee . On January 19 , 1990 Spence died following an automobile wreck in Benton County , Tennessee which also injured his twin brother Timothy J.. His father Robert J. Allen Lo Bianco and grandfather Joe M. Allen preceded him in death . Surviving him were his mother Nancy Doneen Holland , brothers Timothy J. and Jason Allen , grandmother Mrs. Sue Majzel of Houston , Texas , and step grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bennett Holland of Eva , Tennessee . A friend , David Holladay , wrote this in a letter to Spence as a part of the funeral service , " And even now, although I cannot see you or hear your laughter , I know you are here with me - the song of your life will continue to ring in the memory of my ears and soul."
