3. Robert born 5/1/1923
4. John born 12/4/1924, died same day
5. Rosemary twin of John born 12/4/1924.

“Mrs. Kepler Rites Here Thursday In S. H. Church”

“Mrs. E. C. Kepler of Excelsior Springs, Mo., died in a hopsital there Sunday night following a three weeks Illness. Funeral services will be held here today (Thursday morning) at 8:30 o’clock in the McMahon Funeral home and at 9:00 o’clock in Sacred Heart Church. Pallbearers will be : Joe Pattee, Theo McCartan, Alfred Miller, W. B, Linnan, G. A. Hunt and Frank Strathman. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

Christine Shimon was born in Roosevelt township, Pocahontas county, July 3, 1893, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shimon. She grew to womanhood in this community. She was united in marriage with Dr. E. C. Kepler in 1916, with the Rev. Fr. H. B. Kramer of SS. Peter and Paul’s Catholic church performing the ceremony. Dr. Kepler practiced here for a number of years and later the family lived at Allison and Greene before moving to Excelsior Springs.

She is survived by three sons, Edwin of Philadelphia, Pa., Merle of Yakima, Wash., Robert of Seattle, Wash., and one daughter, Rosemary of Denver, Colo. She is also survived by ten brothers and sisters. They are: W. L. Wilson, Mrs. Josephine Posakony, Will, A. C., Thomas M., and Leo Shimon, Mrs. Dan O’Brien all of this place; Miss Esther Shimon of Dubuque, Mrs. Frances Carey of Fort Dodge and Leonard Shimon of Marquette, Mich.”
