"The death of Webster Tilton of Cooperstown and Palm Beach, Fla. occurred Thursday night at his home, 'Farmlands,' near Three-Mile Point following a long illness. Mr. Tilton was born in St. Louis, Mo. He served in the armed forces during World War I. He was a former member of the New York and St. Louis Stock Exchanges. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church of this village, and of its Associate Vestry. His clubs included the St. Louis Racquet, New York Racquet and Tennis, and the Bath, Tennis and Everglades Clubs in Palm Beach. He leaves his wife, the former Alice Busch; a son, Webster Tilton, Jr. of Washington, D. C.; and a sister, Mrs. Charles Polk of St. Louis ... Interment will be in Lakewood cemetery."
