James S. Wyncoop, a native of Rayne township, a veteran of the Civil War, passed away at the age of 85 years, in Marion Center on Saturday (31 Oct 1930).
He leaves these children Ira C., of Larimer; Mrs. J.C. McCormick, of Marion Center; E. Blair, of Rayne township; Logan, of New York City; Mrs. J. J. McElhoes, of Home, and Mrs. James W. Hile, of Clarksburg, He also leaves a brother, Matthew, aged 90 years, of Rayne township.
Funeral services will be conducted by his pastor, the Rev. C.A. Waltman. Burial will be made in Marion Center Cemetery.
