THOMAS H. CLIMER, 91, rural Palestine, IL, died about 3 a.m. today at his home.
Born Nov. 15, 1903, in rural Palestine, he was the son of Albert Climer and Virginia Higgins Climer. He was a retired Palestine area farmer.
Aug. 31, 1933, he married Madeline Bogard and she survives. Also surviving include a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Thomas and Rayburn Climer, Marshall, IL; a daughter and son-law, Myrna and James McNair, Palestine, IL; five grandchildren, Jim McNair, Palestine; Lola Shull, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Angela Climer, New York City, NY; Cydney Wolf, Burlington, VT; and Joell Jared, Terre Haute, IN; and two great-grandchildren, Katie and Simon McNair, Palestine.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a granddaughter, Carrie Shull; four sisters, Clara Climer, Ella Climer, Dale Barrick and Goldie Brashear; and brother, Paul Climer.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine, with Rev. Nolan Eubank officiating. Burial is in Palestine Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and until service time Wednesday.
