The Huntsville Times, Thursday, September 7, 1950. George Thomas Bafford, 66, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at his residence on Route 2, Madison. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida Bafford; one son, Luther Bafford, Route 2, Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Hilliard, Route 2, Madison, and Mrs. H. L. McMurtrie, Huntsville; two brothers, John Bafford of Huntsville, and Earl Bafford of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon from the residence with the Rev. Joe Anglin officiating. Burial will follow in the Faulk cemetery with the Laughlin-Service funeral home in charge. Active pallbearers will be Orbie Hilliard, Jimmy Hilliard, John Hilliard, W. D. Barnett, Harvey Barnett and Richard Clemons.
