Lois Annie Mae Beshears Gillilan Adams, 82, Williams St., Boaz, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Boaz Church of God with interment in Hill Crest Cemetery. Bros. Ryan Bristow and Tracy Cheek officiating. Mrs. Adams will lie-in-state at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at McRae Funeral Home. McRae Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Adams was born in Alabama on Nov. 5, 1927, to John Willie and Lessie Inez Kimberly Beshears. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was an active member of Boaz Church of God and a retired nurse.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Peggy Gillilan, Georgia, Steve and Angie Gillilan, Boaz; daughters and son-in-law, Janice and Danny McAllister, Tennessee, Sheila Madrigal, Rainbow City; stepdaughter, Charlene Colbert, Georgia; 27 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; special granddaughter and caregiver, Janue Moore King.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by husbands, Ray Gillilan and Roy Adams; parents, John Willie and Lessie Inez Kimberly Beshears; son, Roger Gillilan; daughter, Joyce Gillilan Moore; sons-in-law, Mike Madrigal and Lester Moore; three great-grandchildren; brother, Howard Beshears; sister, Ethel Ellison.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Moore, Robert Madrigal, Chris Madrigal, John McAllister, Jeremy Gillilan, Jason Gillilan, Amos Abbott.
