Husband of Eunice PARK Abernathie, died 1867. Five children were born from this Union, Kit, Dora, Hulda, Linneus and John T.
In 1868 he was married Emma MCMULLEN, of which union there were two children, George W. and Bonita. Emma C. Abernathie, died in 1877.
Then married Laura EDWARDS, and had two children, Thurza Ida and Linea Gertrude.

Father of 9, only 6 can be found.
Kit Carson, Huldah, L.B. Dora. Thurza Ida and Linea Gertrude. John Thomas and George W. and Bonita.
1864, his children Kit Carson, Huldah, and L.B. died of Diptheria and are buried in Rockville Cemetery. Children's names are listed on here at SFC only as a memorial.

In 1852 crossed the plains in an Ox-train, accompanied by R.C.Haile. Making settlement in Nevada territory, he first engaged in teaming and later in grist and saw milling and mining. In 1863 he located in Napa County, and the following year he bought land in Solano County, upon which on a large scale he in engaged in cattle raising, and also fruit and grain.
He established an enviable reputation as a reliable farmer and progressive citizen.
