Muriel Madeline Michaels, 69, of Aurora died March 27, 1996. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Monday April 1, at Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Michaels was born in McAlester, Okla., on June 8, 1926. She married Bernard R. Michaels, 1948. She was a case worker for the Denver Department of Social Services and was the chaplain for the American Baptist Nursing Homes. She retired in 1988. She was a minister at large for the American Baptist Church of the Rocky Mountain region, was the first woman president of the Minister's Council of the American Baptist Church of the Rocky Mountain region, and was listed in Who's Who in Religion in 1981. Wife of Bernard Michaels, Mother of Ross Michaels; Dan Michaels and Cindy Taylor; daughter of C.E. Elliott; sister to Albert Kouri; grandmother to Sharleen, Darren, Shanna and James.
