Mr. Fish has been on duty at this harbor sence last winter, wher he was transferred from Cathead Point. Previous to his service at the Cathead Point Light, he was assistant at the Holland light. Mr. Fish is an old tome sailor and years ago he sailed into Grand Haven, with Csptain Quayle, a former Grand Haven captain,in the Evelyn.
Mr. Fish is survived by his wife and several children, two of whom have been residing with their parentsin this city. Although he had resided in this city but a short time, the assistant light keeper had made a number of friends in Grand Haven among the local marine men. The notice of the funeral arrangements will be mad later.
Funeral of Assistant Light Keeper. The funeral service for the late John Clifford Fish, first assistant light keeper at this harbor, who died suddenly at the light house yesterday morning, will be held at the light house tomorrow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Lake Forest Cemetery. Mr. Fish was 54 years of age, and is survived by his wife, three sons and three daughters. One of the sons is at present acting as a reserve surfman at the Holland life saving station.
