Sister Agnes Scheu, age 75, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, died Tuesday, September 5, 1995, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 8, 1995, at Holy Family Convent Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O.Praem. with burial in Holy Family Cemetery.
Agnes Scheu was born April 29, 1920, in Rice Lake, Wis., daughter of the late Joseph C. and Lillian Swanson Scheu. She entered the convent in 1934 and professed her vows in 1938. Sister earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc. Sister Agnes served as a teacher in elementary schools at St. Francis, Hollandtown, St. Therese, Appleton, St. Joseph and St. Philip, Green Bay, St. Mary, Kaukauna, Holy Innocents, Manitowoc, St. Mary, Algoma, St. John the Baptist, Plymouth, St. Wendel, Cleveland, Wis. and St. Therese, Kekaha, Hawaii. She also served as a librarian at St. Aloysius, Kaukauna, St. Joseph, Manitowoc, and was the director of media materials at Rhinelander Catholic Central, Rhineland, Wis. After her retirement from active ministry in 1992, she resided at the Motherhouse.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Everet Tech, Eau Claire, Wis., Janet and Norman Anacker, Columbus, Wis., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at Holy Family Convent. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. at Holy Family Convent Chapel.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting with funeral arrangements.
