Funeral of Charles Callahan
The funeral of Charles Callahan was held at the grave in Rose Hill cemetery at 3:58 yesterday afternoon in charge of the Rev. William Telfer.
The body was received here on the Monon’s Louisville train and the funeral party went direct to the cemetery. Mr. Callahan, who was 55 years old, and who formally lived in this city and at Ellettsville where he was a section foreman, died of blood poisoning at Michigan City where he had lived for two years. He was assisting in unloading some coal when his hand was injured and infection set in.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows, Knights of Pythias and Red Men’s lodges, all of Ellettsville. He is survived by the widow.
