orginally married to Amanda "Mauda" Isabel Kilgore on 24 October 1881 and 9 children were born to this union. His wife died in Hutchinson, Kansas and he moved to Calfornia with his son Jesse. In the 1930 census he was living with his son. He married Nellie Ellen Cassel Diehl/Brewer/Morrow sometime after 1930 and before he died in 1943.
Nellie called him "Pat" (I have letters written by Nellie to her son).
