Josie Agogino
Josie (Hoppy) Agogino, 23, of Philadelphia and formerly of the Quakertown and Wilkes-Barre areas, died Friday at her home in Philadelphia.
She graduated from the Hatsboro-Horsham High School and recently graduated from the Delaware Valley Medical Assistant Program.
Locally, she attended the Ebeneezer Christian School and Crestwood High School.
While residing in the area, Agogino was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, Hazleton.
A noted and accomplished equestrian, she competed throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey.
Surviving are her parents, Michael and Alice Hoppy, Tucson, Ariz; her husband, Leo Agogino; daughters, Katrina and Angela, at home; and maternal grandmother, Helen Williams, West Hazleton.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 am from the Krapf & Hughes Funeral Home Inc, 426 W Broad St, Hazleton. Continued services will be conducted at 10:30 am at the Grace Baptist Church, Samuels Avenue and East Street, Hazleton. The Rev Stanley w McMinn, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, West Hazleton.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 pm.
