Born in Cameron, Mo., in 1910, he came to Portland in 1945 and was a mechanic for the trucking industry.
Mr. Bonar was a member of the Machinist & Aerospace Workers Union No. 1005, the Unity Masonic Lodge and the Mount Tabor Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Fern of Portland; sons, William A. of Kent, Wash., and Robert Honan of Portland; a daughter, Ellen Steckler of Portland; sisters, Vera Parks of St. Joseph, Mo., Floy Bryant of Bisbee, Ariz., Coachlene Wicke of Douglas, Ariz.; a brother, Charles H. of St. Helens; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
