Kenneth C. Knutson, age 80, of 934 N. 14th St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning, February 3, 1997, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 1997, at St. James Episcopal Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Kenneth Okkerse will officiate with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum.
He was born February 28, 1916, in Nielsville, Wis., son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Husby Knutson. Kenneth moved with his family to Door County where he grew up and was educated. He lived in Door County until moving to Two Rivers and later to Manitowoc. He worked at Mirro Aluminum Company and retired from the Becker Ornamental Iron Works. He married Luella M. Simon March 22, 1944, at Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of St. James Episcopal Church and a retired member of the Steel Workers of America.
Survivors include his wife, Luella, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law, Rose Mari and Steve Heynssens, Mountain, Wis.; two grandchildren, Eric and his wife, Ann Lemberger, Brillion, Jill Marie Lemberger, Manitowoc; two great-grandsons, Donovan and Waylon Budan, Manitowoc; one brother and sister-in-law, Elton and Joan Knutson, Yachets, Ore.; one sister, Dorothy Krueger, Egg Harbor; a brother-in-law, Delore Olson, Sturgeon Bay. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Alice Olson, and an infant brother.
Memorials would be appreciated for St. James Episcopal Church on the Humane Society.
