From the Southern Star Newspaper dated Mar 20, 1969: Mrs. M. N. Lizzie Killebrew, 89, died Tuesday afternoon in a Montgomery Hospital following a long illness. Graveside services were held at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon at Newton City Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Killebrew, a life long resident of Newton, had lived with her daughter in Montomery the past six years. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Eltrym Chalker, Montgomery; two sons, A.J. Killebrew, Livingston, Ala., John W. Killebrew, Tucson, Arizona; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. (transcribed by Charles T. Zeigler, Newton, AL)
