Mrs. Ella Barber
Mrs. Ella Rose Barber, 86, formerly of Lester, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in a local hospital after a long illness.
She had made her home for the past few years with a granddaughter, Anna Lee Tolley, Surveyor.
Born Nov. 24, 1888, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Mary McGhee. She was a member of the Lester First Church of God, and was a life-time resident of Raleigh County.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clara McGinnis, Tolleytown, three other grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Lester First Church of God with the Rev. S.D. Wolford in charge. Burial will follow in the Calfee Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.
The body will be taken to the church from Calfee Funeral Home one hour before the services.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday.
