Daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Hardy and Benjamin Dorsey Stewart.Annie Duaine Stewart Wadsworth passed away on Thursday, August 25th, 2016 at Watauga Hospital in Boone. She was 95 years old.

Annie was born in Alabama on Jan 23, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Dorsey Stewart and Sarah Elizabeth Hardy Stewart. Annie was the wife of the late Dr. Erwing Wadsworth whom she married on June 1, 1941 in Columbus Georgia.
Annie attended Auburn University where she met her husband. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Wadsworth Reish (Andrew Fred) of Virginia and Cynthia Hardy Wadsworth and her husband Dr. Shelton William (Tony) Thomason Jr. of Georgia and Alabama. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Dr. Andre Reish of Virginia, Sarah Thomason of Durham, NC, and Ensign Tyler Wadsworth Thomason of Auburn, Alabama and Pensacola, Fl. She was predeceased by one grandson, Chase Wadsworth Thomason.
Annie and her late husband made their home in Deep Gap, NC. Prior to moving to NC they lived in Tuskegee, Alabama and Florence, Alabama.
Annie was a member of the Boone United Methodist Church.
