Born on Nov. 25, 1931, she was the last surviving of three children of the late William and Bernice Virginia Blankenbeckler Stone and the wife of Franklin Duane "Pete" Cast, who preceded her in death March 28, 2005, after 56 years of marriage.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Cast Garner of Woolford, Va., and Doris Cast Glovier and her husband, George, of Pocomoke City; one son, Robert D. Cast and his wife, Vanessa, of East Rockaway, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Christopher Garner, Joseph Garner and his wife, Holly, Bethany Miller and her husband, Tim, Kara Garner, Jason Glovier and his wife, Camilla, Emily Glovier Rantz and her husband, Ryan, and Brian Cast; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City, where family and friends will gather one half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in First Baptist Cemetery, Pocomoke City.
