Funeral of Frederick Ringgold
The funeral of the late Frederick Ringgold, who died on Monday, took place from his late residence at 4 o'clock yesterday. The services were private. Deceased was one of the oldest of the District's citizens, being 82 years of age at his death. For over fifty years he lived in this city, having been in the government employ for about thirty-five years. He has been unable to perform any labor for the past two years. He has lived for a long time with his son-in-law, Mr. Arthur Browning, a practicing attorney.
He leaves a family of one son here in government employ and two daughters, one of whom lives in Chicago, and the other is the wife of Mr. Browning.

Mr. Frederick Ringgold, who died in Washington on Monday, was born at Fountain Rock, now the College of St. James near Hagerstown, in 1811, which makes him eight-two years of age. For over fifty years, he had lived in Washington, having been in the government employ for about thirty-five years. Mr. Ringgold was a son of the late General Samuel Ringgold, who served twenty-five years in Congress from Maryland and was a brother of Admiral Cadwalader Ringgold and the late Major Samuel Ringgold of the United States Army, who fell at the battle of Palo Alto. He leaves a family of one son in government employ and two daughters.
