Graduate of Sierra High School. Business major at Fullerton Junior College.
Trained at Fort Ord, then attended paratrooper training in Georgia. Served 15 months in Panama with 3rd Battalion, 508th Airborne Infantry, Fort Kobbe, Canal Zone. Killed while on guard duty during attacks, after falling into a 30 foot ravine.

Brother of Jerry (1938-2005), Pauline/Colleen, Marilyn, and Chris.
