Edward C. Brelsford, 27, of 125 Waller Street, City, died this morning at 10:30 in Wyoming Valley Hospital. Ill the past year, he had been a patient since January 1. His mother, Almira J. Brelsford, Wilkes-Barre, passed away on January 30.
Born in Kingston, August 10, 1936, Mr. Brelsford was a son of the late Russell and Almira Welter Brelsford. He resided in Wilkes-Barre most of his life and was graduated from Meyers High School. Prior to his illness, Mr. Brelsford was employed as a stock clerk at the Boston Store, City. He previously worked at the Eagle Bottling Works, City. He was a member of Douglass Presbyterian Church, Lee Park, and the Young Men's Bible Class.
Surviving are a brother, Wayne R., at home; two sisters, Mrs. William E. Nelson, Portsmouth, Ohio, and Mrs. Edward Pappas, Wilkes-Barre; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 at Douglass Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert T. Walters officiating. Friends may call Thursday and Friday nights, 7 to 9, at the Kniffen Funeral Home, 465 South Main Street, City. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
