ST. PAUL - Albert P. Adelgren, 94, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at Prairie Mission Retirement Village.
He was born Aug. 15, 1907, in Vilas, the son of Charles and Mary Anderson Adelgren. He grew up and attended school in the Vilas area.
He worked many years as a pipefitter in construction work.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Mission Hills, when he lived there and Galesburg United Methodist Church, after moving to Galesburg. He was a member of Pipefitter Local #533, Kansas City, Mo., and Ivanhoe Masonic Lodge, Kansas City, Mo.
He enjoyed yard work and woodworking.
On Sept. 5, 1937, he married Beulah Basler in Chanute. She died Feb. 2, 2001.
Survivors include a son, Paul Adelgren, Marion, N.C.; a daughter, Olga Ann Smith, North Wales, Pa.; a sister, Hilma McCrary, LaHabra, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at Galesburg United Methodist Church, led by the Rev. Tim McCrary. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Galesburg.
