SR. M. ADALBERT VONDRACEK
Sister M. Adalbert, about 73, of the Holy Family convent at Silver Lake, died
Sunday night at Holy Family hospital after an illness of a few days.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the convent, the Rev. Frank J.
Svatek, the deceased’s nephew, officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining
cemetery.
Sister Adalbert was born Mary Vondracek. She taught in most of the parochial
schools in the northern half of the county, including Kellnersville, Francis
Creek, Whitelaw and Reedsville. Until she was taken ill she was teaching at
the Guardian Angels boarding school at Oneida.
She is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Frances King of Wautoma, Mrs. Emil Svatek
of Reedsville, Mrs. Wenzel Sinkaula of Kewaunee, Mrs. Caroline Tikalsky of
Brillion, Mrs. Anton Hochman of route 1, Whitelaw and Mrs. Frank Schneider of
Chicago; and three brothers, Frank Vondracek of Kaukauna, Daniel Vondracek of
Menomonie and Steve Vondracek of Greenleaf.
The body may be viewed any time tomorrow at the convent chapel.
