Betty married John C. Oak in Washington, from this union two children were born. He preceded her in death. She then married Fred E. Brown in Arizona and six more children were born. Fred preceded her in death June 4, 1984. In 1985, Betty married Lloyd Berry in Arkansas and he preceded her in death August 16, 1996.
Her two sons, James and John Brown, and three brothers, Miles, Chet and Richard Tippery also preceded her in death.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her six children, Barbara Woods, Ray Brown, Becky Powell, Margaret Bailie, Dan Brown and Laurel Bailey, 21 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Bernita Kessler and Mabel Carasco; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home with burial at the Clay Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30-2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Clay Hill Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
