Roy E. Bennett was born Oct. 25, 1930, in Naper, NE and was a Napa, CA resident since 1962. He was the proud owner of Roy's Union Service, located in downtown Napa, for 25 years. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Roy is survived by his wife Thelma of 53 years; his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Robert Liems; his grandson and his wife, Phillip and Sarah Liems; and nephew DeWayne Bennett and his daughter, Devon Bennett.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara; his parents, Bryan and Alma Hansen Bennett; brother, Wayne Bennett; in-laws, Gerrit and Ida Overweg, Dirk and Ann Overweg; and Ivan and Patty Overweg.

Roy's daughter, Pam, fondly remembers, "The guitar was my dad's faithful friend. It traveled with him many miles to Korea, during the Korean War, and back again. He originally acquired the guitar in exchange for a 50-pound bag of potatoes. He yodeled his way into our hearts and sang at many family campfires. Those songs will be remembered in my heart forever.
