Warren O. Goodwin
GIRARD - Warren O. Goodwin, 89, of Girard, died April 15 at the Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater after a long illness.
Mr. Goodwin was born March 22, 1891, at Pleasant Lake, Ind., the son of Joseph W. and Oliva (Brown) Goodwin. He was married July 23, 1933, at Crown Pointe, Ind., to Grace Hall. He had lived in Girard since 1930, retiring in 1960 from the Goodwin Saw Mill. A 1913 Tri-State College graduate in electrical engineering, he was a member of the First Baptist Church and over 50 years belonged to the Northeastern Masonic Lodge No. 210 of Fremont, Ind. He also belonged to the Branch County Historical Society.
Surviving are his wife; four sons, Barry L. Goodwin of Coldwater, Van P. Goodwin of Sudbury, Mass., John Goodwin of Houston, Texas, and Charles Goodwin of Charlemont, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara G. Avery and Mrs. Ann Doyle, both of Charlemont, Mass.; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Putnam Funeral Home in Tekonsha with the Rev. Don F. Price of the Family Altar of the Air officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Interment will be at Lyon Lake Cemetery, Marshall.
