Mr. Sheppard is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Shirley Sheppard of Lawsonville; five grandchildren, Myrna Moorefield and husband, Tony, Tammy White and husband, Richie, Kimberly Morton, Cathy Hubbard and husband, Alan, and Anthony Wade Sheppard; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Aarons Corner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Lowell Hopkins officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. If desired, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 129 Veterans Drive, Pilot Mountain, North Carolina 27041 or to Aarons Corner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Dorothy Craddock, 592 Craddock Lane, Stuart, Virginia 24171.
