Mrs. Matilda Brost, another old pioneer settler of this town was called to answer the final roll on Monday at about half past six o'clock in the evening.
She had been ill for many weeks and death came as a blessing to relieve her of all earthly pain and suffering. She died at the home of her son,
Nick Brost, where she made her home for the past years.
Mrs. Brost attained the age of 73 years and 7 months. She was known to have been a good and loving mother and to others was often the "friend in need". Funeral services were held in the Trinity Catholic church at School Hill and interment took place in the cemetery adjoining.
