Michael Swoboda, 43, of 17924 Wagner Road, Kiel, died Sunday morning, November 16,
1986 at home, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday at
Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. Rev. Reginald Schrimpf will officiate
with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Brief family rites will be held at
10 am from Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel.
Mr. Swoboda was born February 21, 1943 at Two Rivers, son of Ruben and Margaret
Turczynski Swoboda. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Two Rivers. In
1960, Michael graduated from Washington High School, Two Rivers. He married the
former Kitty Warnock on February 6, 1965 at Sacred heart Catholic Church, Two
Rivers. Mr. Swoboda was an Electrician at Tecumseh Products, New Holstein, for
the past 16 years. He was in the United States navy from 1962 to 1966, serving
on the U.S.S. Enterprise. Mr. Swoboda was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill and a member of the Local 1259 of the International Association of Machinist.
Survivors include his wife, Kitty; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Swoboda of Two
Rivers; three sons, Shane and Bradley, both at home and Michael Jr. of Milwaukee;
a brother, Robert Swoboda of Two Rivers and a sister, Mrs. Les (Judy) Svoboda of
Berwyn, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal
grandparents.
Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral home, Kiel, after 4 pm Thursday. A wake
service will be held at 8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
