Daughter of William H and Sarah Belle Hester Sherman. Sister to Mary E, Martha C, and John A Sherman. (Her name is spelled MINTY on the 1870 census but MINTIE on her death certificate)

BIRTH DATE: On the tombstone the date is listed as 1857. However, if you look at the death certificate, the date is listed as 1851. The 1860 census also supports the 1851 date where it list her age as 8. It seems then that the date on the stone is not correct.
