Martha Ann Ferguson, age 71, of Clyde, NC was born in Madison County, NC on May 7, 1941 and passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at MedWest Haywood.

A native of Madison County, she resided in Haywood County for the past 26 years. She was the daughter of the late Richmond Pearson and Mae Bell Ferguson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four sisters, Christine Garnes, Betty King, Jeannette Perdue, and Maggie Gunde; four brothers, Joe "Bud", Jack, Guy, and Troy Ferguson; and special nephew-in-law and caregiver for 26 years, David Hensley.

Martha was loved by everyone who knew her, always making everyone smile. Her smile was contagious and she always saw the bright side to life. You never saw Martha without her favorite drink Pepsi-Cola. She also loved her dog "Lady Bug" and some of her favorite things were her watch, catalogs, coins, and her family. Martha was an angel on earth and our loss is Heaven's gain.

She is survived by two sisters, one brother, her special niece and caregiver of 26 years her daughters as well as many nieces, nephews, and a host of special friends. A special thanks to her other caregivers also.

Funeral services will be held in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woody Cemetery.
