Funeral service for Donnie James Anders, 68, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2012, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, Columbia, with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Anders died Friday, October 26, 2012. Born in Greenville, he was a son of Louise Williams Anders and the late James Anders. He graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School and attended the University of S.C. and Wingate University. A member of the Army National Guard, he was co-founder of Orion Leather Co.
Surviving are his daughter, Robyn A. Christopher (Dwayne) of Surfside Beach; son, Rhett Anders of Atlanta; his mother of North Myrtle Beach; brother, Michael J. Anders (Elizabeth) of Irmo; three grandchildren, Jessika Harlin, Heidi Christopher, Seth Christopher; one great-granddaughter, Lily Leahy. He was predeceased by a brother, James C. "Jim" Anders.
